Work Experience
- Ms. Le Uyen Thao is currently Business Director of Yeast Era JSC. She has nearly 10 years of national management experience at major corporations such as Unilever and Vinamilk, and 15 years of active involvement in community, creative and charitable activities. She founded TEDx Da Nang and the “Iced Tea for the Community” campaign, and has led many successful initiatives, products and projects such as P/S Charcoal toothpaste, Close Up and Vinamilk Probi drinking yogurt.
- She actively supports startups in going to market, including DH Foods, Vua Cua, Coolmate, Grandma Lu and Nada Oils.
- She currently holds several strategic leadership roles in Vietnam and Southeast Asia: Senior Partnership & Business Development Manager – TV HUB Entertainment & Media Group (Shark Tank Vietnam); General Director Vietnam – ASIA Circles (importer, exporter and retailer in Asia); Business Development Director – Yeast Era JSC (a leading Vietnamese biotech company), winner of the National TECHFEST Startup Competition 2024; Deputy Executive Head – Phan Trong Binh Social Charity Fund (under the Ministry of Home Affairs).
- She has built a reputable personal brand: #1 Female in Tech & Innovation in Vietnam; Top 8 LinkedIn Creators in Vietnam with over 24,000 followers and 130,000 followers across channels; mentor, judge and speaker for many startup competitions by AIESEC, FPT University, RMIT University, Banking University HCMC, Foreign Trade University, the Diplomatic Academy, VNU-HCM and Da Nang University of Economics.
- She continues to inspire and promote innovation and creativity in business and the community.
- She holds two Bachelor’s degrees with distinction: Business Administration from Penn State University (USA) and International Relations from the University of Foreign Language Studies – University of Da Nang. She is pursuing a Master of Applied Economics from the Vietnam – Netherlands Programme (VNP) of the University of Economics HCMC and the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS), Erasmus University Rotterdam.
