Etienne Laumonier is a distinguished legal advisor and independent director with over 20 years of experience in cross-border investment, financial regulation, and corporate governance across Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and Europe. As Partner at APFL Partners Legal Vietnam LLC and head of the firm’s Ho Chi Minh City office, he leads a diverse team of international and local lawyers advising Fortune Global 500 companies, financial institutions, and emerging fintech ventures on market entry, M&A transactions, and regulatory strategy in Vietnam.
Etienne’s practice is anchored in investment structuring, international arbitration, and institutional reform, with a particular focus on harmonizing Vietnamese legal frameworks with global standards. His advisory work has supported key reforms in Vietnam’s financial sector, including WTO implementation, competition law development, and fintech sandbox regulation.
