Michael is a Partner of SNB Law and admitted to the German bar in Hamburg. He has acted as chief representative of the SNB Shanghai Office since 1999 and the SNB Ho Chi Minh City Branch since 2012.
Michael has more than 25 years of legal professional experience in advising industrial clients in China and Vietnam on an ongoing basis and has been licenced as foreign practicing attorney in both countries, with a focus on the sectors of print and paper, automotive, machinery, chemistry, tourism, as well as food and health.
He covers corporate matters including crisis management, but also intellectual property law including patent law and regulatory matters. He has also represented his clients in arbitration proceedings before major arbitration institutions in Asia.
He is the author of several monographs and many essays on Chinese and Vietnamese law.
He has experience as a member of the board of directors, supervisor, chairman of the member council and legal representative of several foreign invested enterprises in China and Vietnam.
Michael speaks German, English, Chinese and has basic knowledge of Vietnamese.
